Lists of Sample Support Groups BY TYPE On the sidebar are listings of sample
support groups for just some of the specific issues that groups address, and
the populations that groups serve. Click on the title to view or print out. ü Provided to anyone with a
special interest in any of these types of groups. ü Professionals, who
specialize in working with such issues or particular populations, can print
them out for their own reference, share them with colleagues, provide them to
clients, post pr leave them in their waiting room area, distribute at staff
meetings, in continuing education training, or at presentations. ü Self-Help groups can have
them available at group meetings in the event someone is seeking a related,
but slightly different support group. Or use copies in their own outreach to
professionals or in their communities, by highlighting their particular group
before distributing. Please note: By their nature, the support groups
listed in these handouts are sometimes subject to frequent change. While
